is it a problem for beocom 4?

When using beocom 4, I find that when I speak with normal loudness, I can hear my voice from the speaker at the same time, but the feeling is ... the sound seems not come from the speaker , and sometimes I feel this sound is a little bit cracking. I wonder if you have experienced this before or not. Is it normal for beocom 4?

How old is your Beocom 4 ?

Have you always had this problem or has it just occurred ?

    Regards Keith....

Maybe the ecco is generated in the reciever's phones. You can check this by having the guy you speak with muting the microphone. If this helps then you don't have a problem, if not you could have a faulty phone.

well, it is not echo, echo comes a little bit later than my voice. But for this case, when i speak, it seems that I can hear my voice louder when the phone is stick to my ear.

It seems that the sound does not come from the speaker.

    Beo,

I understand the symptom you have described, but the reason I asked the two questions before is that there was a software change that effected sound reproduction, so

Have you always had this problem or has it just occurred ?

That certainly isn't right then. I only got a new BeoCom 4 recently and the sound reproduction has been excellent and with no such problem. Contact your dealer.

As Henry said it is not right, return it to your dealer and ask for a replacement.

I agree with others, you have a faulty BeoCom 4 which is under warranty, so you should get a replacement from your delaer.

Re: is it a problem for beocom 4?

well, thank you all of you.

I have contacted B&O repair service technician, his reply is that it is normal to listen our own voice from the speaker area. They even use this to judge if the phone is okay or not.

I discover that the problem only happens if I speak loudly (compartively), since today when I speak gentlely, it is perfectly okay. But if I speak loudly, I can hear my voice, and sometimes a little bit "cracking" like noise sound.

    So what do you think?

Also, please help me to do an experiment. Connect the line without pressing number, I guess you should hear a long "Do..." sound, then try to speak a little bit louder at this time, I can hear my voice loudest in this situation from the speaker.

Ask him to bring you another BeoCom4 and test it, if it is the same then fine, if not demand a replacement.

Mine has an echo as well when I turn up the volume beyond 60%. But I guess I shouldn't expect much for only nine times the price of a normal cordless phone.
