A HDMI Expander can be connected to the HDMI B-socket.
I don't really understand why they don't put more HDMI sockets on it in the first place...

Why so shocked? It's based on the BV8-40 chassis - we've been discussing this for months!! The BV8-40 has 2 x HDMI sockets.

    Another BV10 thread, I see.

Just wondering where you find the BV10 spec? Thanks.

    Re: beovision 10 hdmi ports

I think that it was on a financial report that B&O stated that the 10 will be based on the 8 technology, with another speaker and design... Maybe it was a news from an insider, not sure. But that fact is sure.

Concerning the 2 sockets, I was hoping that B&O could change only the last circuitry in the bv8 chassis to add some sockets without any development cost (as it's basically an integrated switch with more ports, a cheap circuit which doesn't add complexity to the electronic architecture), but B&O seems to have choosen to keep the whole bv8 package without modifying anything.

Unfortunately/fortunately it's called 'economies of scale'. It makes a lot of sense. Create on chassis and then run it across as many TVs as possible.

I doubt the BV7-55 will have a different chassis from the BV7-40. Different panel, sure, but same chassis.

    >>add some sockets without any development cost << Software would change I would think, so you have testing etc.

There is never enough connections ..... I think it's very wise that they use exactly the same platform ..... BV8 40 is a solid TV and having an alternate design is great and in the end many of us I would think are just after that. Design.

We all lived and still live with a single AUX / Line in .............

    BS9000, BS2300, BC2, BL2500, BL3, Bl2, BS1, BV8, BC4, A8
