Hello again = The motor is powered by mains voltage ie 110 or 220v a.c., so unless you have technical ability and correct test equipment, you should not attempt repair with power on! You could, however, remove the motor and get it tested - you may find a replacement through this Forum (perhaps Dillen could help?). Can you hear a buzz in the speaker when you put a finger on the stylus? If you are able to get the motor tested, by the way, there is a wiring diagram for it in the BG1000 Service Manual. If the motor turns out to be ok, then the fault must be in the motor drive circuits/wiring. Good luck = Brian (Northumberland)
