I am very much in favour of the DIY approach, indeed, I have been known to tackle most jobs and hang the concequences.

The lithium battery is situated on the microprocessor board which ideally should be removed from the 9500.

I cannot recommend this as a job for the novice as some batteries are soldered in. This could involve the use of a large soldering iron and the risk of explosion of the battery.

Not all batteries are soldered but there is a risk that your is.

It cannot take a B&O technician more than an hour to do this particular job so in this instance I recommend that you get a quote from your B&O dealer.

Do you mean 9300 or 9500 as there seems to be the same question for both systems and the systems are quite different!!

    Am I missing something here?

Is there suddenly some secret thrill that I'm not privvy to??

Do I need to lay in stock of lithium batteries??

Are lithium batteries the new currency??

Does Alistair Darling know about this or can we make a quick buck or two??????

    Oh well!!! Back to sleep.

    Hi John

I also are confused about your quistion is it a BC 9300 or BC9500 they are very different. If it's a Bc9500 you can clear the memory by removing the lower glassplate there is 1 screw in bottom of the 9500 I think it's left corner towards you then you can push the glassplate aside be carefull many of them are loose and on the print in the right there are two small pins when you shortens them you are in servicemode press 7 on the remote and memory are cleared,it returns to mode 1 and you press standby and it will return to normal mode.I think its the same for the 9300
