    Beosound 9000 Serial Number 15xxxxxxx

Hi all - if a BS9000 has a serial number 15xxxxx does it mean it is a 2001 model as per the age/serial number realtionships with speakers? If so, is it a MK2 or MK3 and how can i tell and what is its approx value as the unit is in excellent condition.... (no Beo4 incl - just the system)

The MK2 has the red on/off button on the back and the MK3 does not. Values are difficult to estimate as they are going up and down  at the moment. If selling I am sure you would hope to get £1400-1500 for the MK2 9000 alone and more for a MK3.

Thanks - what are the advantages of N Music over the Mk2 which is non-N Music?

N-Music makes it compatible with your computer and Beoport software which enables you to play music which is stored on your hard disk.

The MK1 and MK2 can be upgraded for N-Music by fitting  replacement software at minimal cost of around £20 plus fitting.

The upgrade is fully explained in a FAQ written by Keith Saunders.
