    Beocord 8000

I recently bought a Beocord 8000 which was working perfectly.

The other day I went to play a tape and it keeps kicking it out of play mode and I also don't hear the motor running .

    The belts are new .

    Any ideas ?

    George

lubrication somewhere inside the cassette deck mechanism.

i would suggest getting the service manual and pulling out the mechanism and giving everything a good clean. i used circuit board cleaner/contact cleaner to remove the old grease which had dried and gone quite hard and then relubricated with a new grease... fixed all my problems.

    Hi Martin,

This is George . I was wondering if you know where I can find a motor for the Beocord 8000 ? Or maybe you have one and if so how much do you want for it ?  Please let me know.

    Thank you

    George

I have new motors but check first if the motor gets any power at all.
    About 12-14V should be expected.
