help with connecting the whole set!

Hi.. im new to this forum, i've seen alot of information in this site regarding B&O products.. loves it!

I have a little problem trying to get my stuff work.. I have a BeoLab 1, BeoLab 2, BeoVision 5, Beosound 6000 and BeoSound 9000, and i cant get them work!

I've tried connecting 2 BL1s to the BV5 back panel into 2 X "front" socket,  BS6000s - 2X "rear" socket, BL2 into Subwoofer socket all by powerlink and BS9000 by masterlink, doesn't seem to work at all..

I've tried switching off the power for the speakers to reset, but when i switch on the BV5, the red light of the speakers turned into green then back to red straight away.. doesn't seemed like they are properly set...

I've already looked through the settings menu on BeoVision, just wondering if there's any way or command on the remote that i can "synchronize" or do some settings to make them link up.. well anything that make it work please!

    Best regards,

    Arthur.

I would guess that this is a case of Option setting. The BV5 needs to be V.Option 2 and the BS9000 A.Option 0. The speakers attach as you have them and you need to tell the TV what you have attached through the set up menu. Do you know how to option set? LIST and the red dot at the same time and then press LIST till OPT? is displayed.Press GO and you will have V.OPT showing. Press 2. That will set the TV. Do the same again except when you get to V.Opt, press LIST and A.Opt will appear. Press 0 and you should be set. All this is done with the system in Stand by.

Oh, and make sure the switches on the speakers are set correctly to L and R.

L.opt is not relevant in this case.

Do you have an instruction manual by any chance?

Ensuring you have the BL1 and BL6000 registered in the BV5 menu...

Using Beo4, press and hold the power-off button while holding LIST.

    select ADD

scroll through and find SPEAKER > select it

    press EXIT

press LIST until SPEAKER comes up, press 2 > (provided the BV5 is on and running) do the speakers turn on?

    Make sure
    A.opt is in 0 and
    V.opt is in 2

    Arthur,

You need to tell the TV how many and which speakers are connected. This is done in the MENU/SPEAKERS setting I believe although I am asuming here that the BV5 is similar to the Avant.

If you don't input this basic info your speakers will never switch on.

Once this info is input you can then worry about Options!!
