    Re: User and Service manuals

The (frequently) asked for User manual of Beolink 5000 in French is now also available,  (thank you Jean)

i have uploaded it, as well as several MX user manuals.

As soon as i figure out how to upload very large files,

the service manual of LX5000-6000 and MX4000-6000 will be available as well.

I am trying to clean it up and get the pages in the correct order! A slightly bigger file could be helpful as the letters are a little fuzzy on this one! Very good of Nigel to send it ! I have a CDX but never had the manual!

    Re: User and Service manuals

I am looking for a service manual for Beolab Penta 3's.  I need to find the piece to replace as the doors on the amplifier will not stay shut.  I am getting them ready for a possible sale.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Don't have those at present but will keep looking. With regard rto the Century, is there any particular issue you are looking at? I do have a few bits and pieces I can maybe get for you.

    Hi all,

It would be great to have a list which dvb-s receivers are working with the stb-c module of the BV 3. If I remember correctly the most recent table version is 3.6.

    Best regards

    Re: User and Service manuals

I have the manual (without parts list) for BeoSound Century type 2651, 2652, 2653 and 2654 - file size is approx. 5,6MB

    @Peter

Is there any way to upload it to the server (FTP)?

    Regards Gerd

Possibly! I'll look into it. Or you could send it to me on disc, and in return I will send you a DVD with all my manuals on it!

Got the scanner working but not happy with my first attempt! Service manuals are clearly going to be large - 10Mb + in pdf form. Plan to do the Beomaster 6000 quad first!

I see that the service manual for the Master Control Panel 5000 is available, but not the user manual.  I'd love to get a copy of the latter.

    Is there nothing on Beoworld.org

Unfortunately not - at least I haven't found it....

There are some User Manuals, but no Service Manual :( I also had a look at the Avant Service Manual; I thought it could be a combined one as AV5 and Avant 50Hz are using the same chassis.

Is the file size you quote after "Distilling" (adobe utility to minimise pdf files sizes)??

Actually it turned out to be 6Mb and I have put it on site. Is it good enough? Not quite got the hang of the scanner yet - I need to flatten the pages more! Done it in grey scale though some of the diagrams are in colour but that would clearly make the files even bigger!

I've had a bash at reducing the file size further (4.4mb) and it clearly impacts on the resolution of the schematic diagrams (obviously not acceptable in a service manualLaughing)

Does the scanner have the option to scan to a limited colour palette (256 colours) I would think the file swize would then be the same as greyscale?

I got it down to 3Mb but was unhappy with the detail. The scanner is very basic! It was only £80 for an A3 scanner!

The 3200 is on, I think, which uses the same door mechanism.

Thanks Peter, I had a look, but unfortunately it does not cover the door mechanism:

"This manual only contain the differences from the BeoSound 3000 to the BeoSound 3200. All other documentation can be found in the BeoSound 3000 manual."

     Great!!

    Cheers

Anyone have any experience of taking the doors apart?

BS3000 service manual now on and looks pretty complete. Not sure why I didn't put it on before as it was on my computer! Clearly going senile!
