Re: Apple TV Remote Control
The answer is yes. I just did it. Connect an IR repeater and the Beo 4 commands will be learned. Works perfectly so far.

Re: Apple TV Remote Control
This is good news. What exactly do you mean by an IR Repeater, and where does that connect to ATV?

Re: Apple TV Remote Control
I was referring to the cable that connects to the PUC out on the Beovision with an IR emitter on the other end. The emitter is placed over the IR receiver on the Apple TV just to the rigfht of the power light. It is the same cable used to control connected Blu-Ray players, satellite receivers etc.

Re: Apple TV Remote Control
Are you sure?
So you say that the APPLE TV can learn IR signals from a Beo4 remote..??
You are not saying that the Beovision can control the APPLE TV..

Re: Apple TV Remote Control
What I am saying is that if the Apple TV is connected to a Beovision with an IR Repeater through the PUC on the Beovision, just as a satellite box or or other peripheral unit would be connected, the Apple TV can and will learn to be controlled by the Beo 4 through the Beovision.

Re: Apple TV Remote Control
I would note that our Beovision 7 does not have the software update that includes Apple TV. The first couple of times I tried to get it to learn the commands I had the BV7 set to a VCRs and it did not work. I then changed the assigned device to a satellite box and it worked immediately. The up, down, left and right arrows will be learned easily and almost instantly. GO and MENU are a little trickier. They did not seem to want to be learned. I am thinking it may be because those buttons on the Beo 4 are for instantaneous single commands, not continuing commands such as the arrows. I did get it to work by pushing the button repeatedly at just the right speed while the Apple TV was learning. Also, I did not use the Menu button on the Beo 4 for Menu on Apple TV, I used green.

Re: Apple TV Remote Control
Hi,
Which STB did you choose in the menu for STB boxes to control ATV?

Re: Apple TV Remote Control
Samsung T351, but I have it assigned to V. Mem and use the V. Tape button on the Beo 4 to access it.
