Hi,
My Beosound 2300 is quite old and acting cranking lately, CD won't play if I don't play the radio for a while and then switch to CD...I feel that CD player needs to be warm up !! Has anyone has similar experience...and since it is quite old...does it worth fixing...any suggestion ?
Thanks,
James
I'm not very technical I'm sure Keith will give you a great answer soon, but maybe the BS 2300 is suffering from bad capacitors?

Do you normally leave it on standby when you are not using it?

Needing to warm up makes me think of cracked solder.
Yes I do leave it on standby and let it switches off automatically sometimes.....and to my surprise....I don't have to warm it up today, but I am sure it will happen again as it's been going on like this for months. I guess my Beosound 2300 must over heard my discussion at B&O store about retiring it by using link or wireless to hook up BS9000 in living room.
