Is it possible to choose the AUX source of the Beomaster 5500 with the Beolink 1000. If yes, then how?
Shift - radio
Welcome to Beoworld
Chris.
The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.
Shift + A.Tape
Weekly top artists:
FWIW, Shift + A.Tape and Shift + Radio do the same thing.
Thank you for the quick reply and for the warm welcome.
Alex: FWIW, Shift + A.Tape and Shift + Radio do the same thing.
Not entirely. Shift A.Tape switches to the Tape 2 light, and Shift Radio switches to the AUX light.
I should have posted more clearly - sorry. I meant they both enable the same input.

Is Tape 2 the same as Aux then Alex?
Regards Graham
Yes, on Beomaster 5500 it is the same input / socket.
On Beomaster 4500 : AUX & TV share the same input and Tape 2 & Phono.

Well........you live and learn!
I wonder whether there are actually any differences? Maybe it's something to do with the datalink signals?
On the 6500 & 7000 models, they activate the same light.
I think it matters if you connect a Beovision to this input. IIRC you need to use shift/radio and a number to be able to use the system speakers.
