Does anyone have  any information about IR codes for a Beo4 please?

I've managed to learn all the ones I want with my universal remote, however although some like volume up and down work, they don't seem to work in a repeat fashion if I hold the button down (this isn't  a feature of the Philips Pronto universal remote as it works with repeat on other AV products).
It is almost like there is one code for up one step in volume and another code for contintuous up in volume (if there is I can't learn it or it doesn't work when I play it back, I tried that).

If anyone has any information on how this works that would be appreciated.

With the Beo4 the volume up is code 00 xx 60 where "60" is code for volume up and "64" is the code for volume down.

If you hold your finger on the Beo4 volume up or down button, it actually keeps sending the code 60 or 64 with a delay between each code transmission until you take your finger off the button.

There is not a different code for repeat volume up or down.

If I understand you, you are saying that a one up on volume would be 00 xx 60 for one step in volume or 00 xx 60 60 60 60 etc. for multiple steps?

I'm guessing most manufacturers maybe repeat the whole packet (e.g. repeated 00 xx 60 00 xx 60 etc.) rather than just one bit of  it which is where I may be falling down?

I have to confiess I don't understand the codes at all, my pronto learned the volume up code as

and down as

so I'm not quite sure how that translates from the format you have used.

I will need to study your codes because I do not really understand what you have sent

My numbers are in Hex meaning 4 bits is one digit from 1 to F where "1111" is "F" and "0000" is 0

It looks as if yours are in Hex as well because I see "9" and "D" in a couple of records

If I remember correctly the format went something like 4 bits is header, then 5 bits is the device address and 8 bits relates to the data being sent to the device.

Thanks for that post from NZ (brings back very pleasant memories of my 5 weeks there earlier in the year), although I'm afraid that life is never that simple.

I used those codes from that .ccf successfully with by previous remote (RU940) and they worked. They also worked on my current remote (RU950) until I upgraded the firmware. At this point they stopped working however I was now able to learn them directly (one of the firmware improvements - along with others I wouldn't want to live without). The catch being that the B&O codes I am now able to learn don't work with repeat function (even if I extend the duration of the IR in the software).

 As an example, instead of the volume up listed above, it used to show as

quite how two so different codes can both operate the B&O volume is beyond me.

Here is what I know about Pronto B&O codes in the 7000 format. Maybe someone else can decipher the unknown parts.

This is how the Prono hex maps to pulse times and what they mean...

0005 = T1 3.125 mS = 0 bit
0004 = T2 6.250 mS = Same as last bit
0003 = T3 9.375 mS = 1 bit
0002 = T4 12.50 mS = Stop bit
0001 = T5 15.62 mS = Start bit

The directional and colored buttons send one code when pressed, and then another code when held. The volume buttons don't - they repeat the same code.

Ah, well explained, I'd seen that mentioned elsewhere but the explanation was beyond me on that website - your example makes it crystal clear.

 I think I'm now sorted actually. I found after a firmware upgrade on my remote that the remote has now got codes for B&O in its database (hurah) and after a bit of playing around with minimum duration I've now got it to work as desired.
