MX7000, connection of vcr, satellite box and dvd

    Hi all

Have just set up an ouverture linked via 1614 converter(yes the box will function in this configuration!) to the MX7000 driving 2 x BL 6000's - the system setup using the configuration guide, appears to work ok but I need to check against a pair of Pentavoxes thro' an ml/mcl or passive box.

I do however have a question regarding the use of non BnO peripherals as above, which is how should the units be connected to the TV - have tried various configs but cannot get the dvd to play with a clear non-rolling screen.

The sat box(panasonic) is plugged into AV1  the VCR(samsung-secam - used to receive terrestrial French output) is plugged into AV2 and daisy chained into and thro' this is the dvd.

Also used is a A/V transmitter to another setis is plugged into the sat box - this configuration worked perfectly with an MX5500(BL1000 Sat controlled sat viewing V/tape controlled vcr and dvd viewing.

Cannot set up the 7000 similarly as the tv has a beosat module fitted and i do not think removal of this unit will change the situation!

A smaller issue is how to call up V/Tape2(ie AV2 scart) AV! is called by pressing V/Tape on BL1000n - have trie  shift / V/Tape to no avail -Help!!

    Salut from a stormy Finistere

Hi Tony, I have an MX5500 which still has the Beosat module connected. As a result I am unable to assign the Sat command to any of the Scart connections.

I think I understand - use V.Aux for AV2. Also consider getting an AV2 expander.

Thanks both, would removing the sat module activate the sat button on the bl1000 as there is no mention of sat on either AV1 or AV2 lists?

Peter how do I access V Aux on my BL1000? I have a Beo4 but unfortunately it is in UK!

    Salut

For what it's worth, I have an MX6000 without the Beosat module, and the SAT button is nothing special here either. You can't assign it separately to any socket, and it won't switch the inputs either. With SAT selected, the MX6000 behaves exactly as if you had simply pressed TV. This could of course be dependant on the software, I have a later IT/Beo4 version (one-way IR).

V.Aux on Beo4 seems to send the exact same code as shift-TV on my BL1000 Mk2.

Thanks for that - just shutting down the pc and hitting the sack will try shift tv tomorrow and have a further play!

Re: MX7000, connection of vcr, satellite box and dvd

    Hi all

    Got it working as follows

AV1 - satellite box with a/v tx plugged in to 2nd scart

AV2 - VCR with dvd plugged in to 2nd scart

    AV1 setup as VCR1

    AV2 setup as VCR2

    With Beolinl1000 VCR2 accessed by Shift - V.Tape

Not as simple as MX5500 setup but its workable!

    salut
