    Avant & BM5500

    Hi all,

I have a minor but annoying problem. In the same room I have a 32" VHS Avant & a system 5500. They are not linked at present - that may happen some time in the future if I decide to buy a converter.

The problem I have is when I press the TV button on my remote the BM5500 also fires up on AUX. I don't know if this is an option problem with the 5500 or a minor fault with it.

    Chris.

EDIT - I've sorted it. The BM5500 seems to have been in the wrong option. I've reset it to option 1 (which I thought I had done but I must have pressed the button sequence incorrectlyEmbarrassed)

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

Must be an option problem - my 6500 doesn't respond to any of the video commands, but turns on on AUX if I select AV-TV (or AV-videoanything).

I'd try reprogramming the Beomaster to Option 1 first.

Thanks Mika - yes I worked it out just after I had first posted. I thought I had set the BM to option 1 but I must have pressed the button sequence incorrectly - how embarrassing.
