    Beogram CD 5500

I have a BG CD5500 that will not spin the disc.  Is there a known fix for this, or would I have to dive into the circuits and boards inside?  Every other function seems to be working fine, but when I opened it up to "see" what happens, the disc just sits there, and the MCP says "NO SOURCE".

This is all I need to complete a 5500 system I've been piecing together - complete with RL's and coil cords - I'd really like to get it running.

    Thanks

Probably the capacitors on the servo board.

There are kits available for some versions.

I'm not seeing anything that says CDM...    It is a type 5133.

I've taken the cover off and looked inside as well - where would this number be?

Also, while the cover was off, I watched it try to load a CD.  I can see the CD try to spin - like it's stuck or something.  I tried to turn it by hand, and it feels very tight, although I can turn it, it's too tight to spin freely.

I just purchased this and saw pictures of it working, but after shipping does not.  It was packed in the original factory packing and then double-boxed.

Hmm.. Sounds like the spindle motor has seized then.
