    MX **** glass panel probs

    Hi all

the glass panel on one of my mx's has come off leaving the (steel) mounting strips in situ - what can i use to 'restick' it back on - do i need to remove the strips or just lay the tv on its back well propped and lay the panel back on whatever adhesive with a little extra weight over the aforesaid strips to ensure bonding

I thought of epoxy or industrial double sided tape!

Someone out there must have had similar probs - all suggestions greatfully received

From what I know you should never put a CRT TV on it's back.

Tony, I would try using Silicon sealer. This seems very good as a glue IMO, used it a few time myself on different things. Although never on an MX contrast screen.

Our esteemed TV expert Nobby uses epoxy resin for this. Don't use the "fast setting" stuff, it is rubbish.

    Thanks guys

have used tape in this instance (industrial grade) - up to now is working - however when time allows i will probably go with the araldite route

nb the tv has a pillow under it just in case(the panel falls out)
