Hi

I have a beovision 3 - 28inch tv.  When I play DVD's through it there is always a thick black line all the way round the viewable picture (2 inchs wide).  I can make this disappear to some extent by using the format function.  However,  I wonder if my TV has been set-up correctly.  When I play my sky box through the TV on a terrestrial channel - say bbc1 then the whole of the screen is covered and there is no black border.  Is this normal or do I need to change a setting ?

Which type of DVD player is used? B&O or third party?

Most DVD players offer a screen size configuration in the settings menu to adjust the type of the screen (e.g. widescreen 16:9).
