    Beomaster 4400/Beovox S45-2

I managed to find imaculate S45-2 units to go with my 4400. They already sound amazing, however the speaker cable is patched together with sticky tape and I am sure it is the 'weakest link' in the system. Does anyone have any ideas on the best speaker cable to use for this. I guess I am stuck with the spade and pin male and female on each end of the cable. I do not want to hard wire the speakers with banana plugs to replace the spade and pin because the speakers are like new out of the factory! I have a lot of HitachiSSX-102k speaker cable spare, so I thought this would be good if I could get it connected properly to the Spade and Pin connectors. Any suggestions appreciated.

I am also looking for the best 5 pin din connector for the 4400 to connect to a PC 3.5" jack. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best quality cable?

B&O test their own cable and have decided that it is as good as anything according to their panel of 'golden ears'. It is still available from your dealer with good quality moulded plugs.

On the connecting cable, what you need is a good quality plug and a shielded cable. I cannot remember where I got mine from (I use it to attach my iPod dock to my 4400) but this site has some cables which look to be excellent quality - probably massive overkill!  Make sure you get the correct one! They are directional.

The 'spade and pin' connectors you are referring to are 2-pin DIN connectors, you need male for the speakers and female for the Beomaster.

They are available from Maplin in the UK. I bought my iPod Dock connector from eBay.
