    Redline floor stands

Recently I aquired some Redline 60.2's with the original floorstands. Do these stands fit other Redline models? From what I can tell they would fit RL60's and RL45's, but not 100% sure.

Pretty sure the mounting is identical - which stands do you have - the single or twin pillar?

    Re: Redline floor stands

Hi Peter, I have the twin pillar ones. Just trying to find out which models they fit. As I have only seen RL45's ,RL60's and RL60.2's up close I am unsure about other models.

The mountings for 45, 45.2, 60, 60.2, 2000 and 6000 are identical and both types of floor stand can be used with any of them.

The RL35 and RL1000 do not have floor stands but can be shelf mounted with a sort of L shaped prop!

The stands and brackets for the RL140 and RL7000 are altogether bigger ( bit like the smaller ones on steroids ) and are only suited to those models.

    Regards Graham

    Re: Redline floor stands

    Hi

The stands fit RL45s and RL60s and probably also their replacements.  I did some research and recall that there were no stands for the RL35s.  I have a pair of ceiling poles for the RL140 and these have a larger fixing bracket and do not fit RL45s or RL60s.

The stands fetch quite a price on eBay.  It is probably more cost effective to buy them with speakers.

    Regards

    Richard

Thanks for all the informative answers. These are going to be put in the for sale section, and I just wanted to get my information correct before I posted.

    Re: Redline floor stands

Another question about these stands. What holds the speakers in place? Should there be something that secures it, or is it just gravity that holds it in place?

Craig there should be a square plate which bolts onto them and the speaker simply hooks onto these via the square hole in the back where the speaker wire terminals are and gravity does the rest.

Thanks Chris, I have the plate which hooks into the square metal piece around the connections. Just wondered if there was anything else, as one of our members in interested in them. So naturally I want them to be complete.

    Re: Redline floor stands

Yes Craig, they are complete then.

They are adjustable directionally up/down by a dome head phillips screw which (IIRC) screws into the speaker and sits against the tab at the bottom of the mounting plate - fairly basic stuff but it does the job.

The square plate was originally supplied with the speakers and was able to be used on either floor stands, wall brackets or ceiling poles depending on your mounting choice at the time.

    Re: Redline floor stands

I need help finding a pair of the square plates that interface between the speakers and the brackets. The plates were apparently originally supplied with my RL 45.2's? I have recently purchased these (45.2's) in mint condition and the ordered wall mount brackets from ebay only to find I was missing the connecting plates.Sad

    Thanks

    Ron
