mates, I am building a house with a small covered back porch, 5ftx16ft, i have an extra set of bl4k and was wondering if I should pick up a BL2k or use the 4ks; anyone used bl4ks outside? is the bl2k a better bet? I don't think they would ever get wet i just wonder about the temperature changes?? any thoughts?? MJM
I'm ready for something new that I actually want to buy!

Hi I would probably consider using a pair of dedicated passive out-door speakers (B&W makes some nice ones) and then using a beolink passive amp situated inside. best regards Christian

I would never use BeoLabs outdoors, most definitely not recommended.
B&W's weatherproof speakers are fantastic, and together with a BeoLink Passive should do everything you want...

How does a Beolink Passive work? Better than wireless for outdoors?

How about a nice pair of CX50 or CX100? I'm planning to have this in my veranda.

No, I have glass doors and a roof at the veranda. Even if the veranda isn't 100% enclosed I think they will be OK. Will of course only have them there during summertime. I don't like bying used stuff, but here I have no choice becaues the Beovox 1 doesn't fit. I would love a Beovox 2, a free standing passive speaker like CX50.

With glass doors and a roof, I would not worry much about the speakers.

No, I wouldn't be afraid of using BeoLabs there. The main reason for me not to use active speakers is the risk that someone will take them.

Someone on the forum (might be Peter??) has said before that they have CX's in their bathroom. They have never suffered from foam rot, possibly due to the moisture in the air. Craig

Perfect! The only hatch (except the pricetag) is that my neighbours wouldn't be too happy about it.
