Hello all,
I have some problems with my two pair of Beolab Penta, here it goes:
Firstly I have a pair of Beolab Penta 1 wich I had hooked up via Speakerlink to my Beosystem 7000. However my wheels of my wheelchair destroyed the speakerlink-cable (I can visable see a break in the cabelcasing) wich resulted that that speaker went silent. When I switched cable (working side) the speaker remained silent, no sound, but display still works and I get a "green light" from statuslight as soon I turn on the Beomaster. I plan to haul that speaker to B&O but if I cant convince my friends to muscles up, what is the most likely problem? I suspect that i have shortcuted the speakerlink with my wheel. Beomaster is still ok so the error gotta be in the Beolab Penta 1.
Well thats just for starter :) when my Penta 1 died I found a pair of Beolab Penta 3 wich I then bought but then another stranger problem appeared:
Second problem include my now connected Beolab Penta 3 speakers, I use them via Powerlink with cable i got with speakers. However whenever I use my flouresent light in my kitchen I get very nasty cracklings in both speakers, it only "cracks" just during the "blinking seconds" before the lights are fully lit. I have hade my friends over to muscle around and when I have the speakers connected via Speakerlink I have no problems but as soon I have them connected via Powerlink i get those nasty cracks. Even when I disconnect the Powerlink-cable from speaker but leave it in Beomaster I get the cracking noice (run speaker via Speakerlink) but when powerlink-cable is fully disconnected even from Beomaster the cracking noices are gone. Is the Powerlink-cable I use maybe not screened enough? Should i use a diffrent Mark of Powerlink? Seen that there are both Mark2 and Mark3 of Powerlink. I have no idea wich mark I use now since I got them with my buy.
The problem with my Penta 3 is the one that bugs me the most since I really like the Pentas and really wanna have these "play ball" with the whole of my appartment :D And no, I have now secured the Powerlink so I will not destroy that cable with my wheelchair.. hehe
Thanx for all help
