    avant STB controller!!

    does anyone know how to get a STB to work?

    and does anyone know how to access the installation setup menu in the avant?

    Hi James and welcome to BeoworldSmile

    We need a bit more to go on, in order to help you.

    1 Have you actually got a set-top box controller in your Avant?
    2 Do you have the IR cable connected?
    3 If so, is it positioned correctly on your STB?
    4 Which box are you trying to control, and is it supported in your list?

    When you say 'installation menu', is this to change the sources on your scarts? If so, then press Menu, then 4 then 5.

    hi andy thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

    your right more info would be helpfull

    1 yes i have the STB controller

    2 yes the IR cable is attached

    3 i have stuck the sensor on my sky box

    4 i want to control a sky+ box

     

    could it be that the software does not cover my box? it says "sky digital"

    i have another avant which works the sky+ box, can i just swap the STB's over?

    i've just bought the avant today and i want to enter the menu which shows you how many hours the tv has done and service menu ect.

    Since all Sky+ boxes use the same remote signals, I use the STB called Pace Sky+, even though mine is not a Pace box.
    If it's not in your list, it might need a SW update.
    The menu you are looking for is
    Menu,4,0,0,Go.
    Don't mess with anything in there unless you are sure you know what you are doing!

    too late i've changed the STB's over and now the menu says "none"!! omg what have i done!

    all i did was plug the one off my other avant in, simple! maybe not...

     please help!!

    menu 4, 5 then it says AV - none and Decoder - none

    When AV or Decoder is highlighted in red, can you not change them by using the up arrow?

    how stupid of me - andy your the man!!

    i've selected pace sky+ for both av and decorder, now i do i make it work my sky box

    were do i plug the scart lead into the av or decorder?

    I have mine plugged into the decoder scart.
    The AV scart doesn't need to be set to Pace, I have mine as a DVD.
