AC/DC VOLTS with Bon Scott
From the Bondi lifesaver Boxset.
This time the CDX and Beolab 8000 system handles the playing.

Re: Whats Playing Now thread - pre-moderated
I reminder the day that I first heard S.O.D Speak English or Die back in 1989/90.
Just found the cd today and it's still a classic heavy record indeed.
The Beosystem 6500 handles it well.

Today I have put my cd-collection of Michael Jackson in my BS9000.
What a great artist.
Sad to hear that he left the building.......

'Mushroom' from CAN's Tago Mago is playing on the Beogram 8002. Probably the 'best' bit of vinyl I own as most of it was second hand, but this was bought new a few years ago and is rarely played :)

Re: Whats Playing Now thread - pre-moderated
Just loaded 9000 with CD's from Glastonbury artists I enjoyed this year...
Neil Young, 3 Daft Monkeys, Bruce Springesteen, Steve Knightley, Seth Lakeman and Nick Cave are now on random, whilst I clean my camping stuff.
This was my 14th year - and (as always ! ) the best yet. Neil Young is a total legend - I waited 30 years to see him - and it was worth it. The world stunning is used a lot nowadays, but I was stunned by his set.....fabulous.
Watching Heart of Gold with my 12yr old daughter holding my hand was a real "moment" - she had a great time too, seeing Neil Young at such a tender age.....and she had lunch the same day with a Ceebeebies presenter bloke and a woman from the (film) cast of MamaMia - which she had seen just the day before in the cinema field, by co-incidence.
Keep on Rockin' in the Free World - indeed !!

Kasabian, West Rider Pawper Lunatic Asylum. Listening with my Mother'in'Law who is reading a review of Kasabian in the Manchester Evening News that she brought down to Plymouth with her.
Oh, by the way, me and the misses will be seeing Kasabian at the Eden Project on Saturday

Tord Gustavsen Trio: 'Changing Places'.
I first came across Tord Gustavsen playing a piece on the B&O site. I've now got quite a collection of his work (ECM records.) Modern Jazz piano playing as you've never heard it before.

Now listening to Canyon Dreams by Tngerine Dream. Sounds superb, and very relaxing too.

Robert Palmer - Johnny And Mary
Just found the album ("Clues") for 1 euro at a flea market, which had literally 1000s of vinyls laying around in unsorted boxes. Awful job trying to go through them, as 99.9% of the albums were sh*t approaching cosmic dimensions. However, once this record is over, I have some '60s recordings of Bach's masterpieces to follow...

Yes, I really loved it! I hadn't heard much of his earlier work, except for the title I mentioned of course. I didn't think that titles like "Simply Irresistible" were that classic, although the video certainly is
I also got an original print of the soundtrack for "Doctor Zhivago", but it will need washing before I can play it... and Spandau Ballet's "True" with Spanish song titles...? (same problem)

I definitely think this is his best - there's hardly a dud track on the whole album (I first heard "Johnny & Mary" while on holiday in the summer of 1980 and I immediately bought the album on my return. I did buy others but none seemed quite as good to me).
