    Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

    Craig:

Just listening to the remastered version of Tubular Bells.

I was living in Cambridge as a student and wasn't able to bring too much in the way of a music collection.  I bought a cheap cassette walkman and Tubular Bells on tape and it kept my brain working almost every day during my bike rides on those unbelievably cold UK mornings.

    Is the remaster worth it?

Listening to RadioDead.com all GD all the time on internet radio thru an odd concoction of speakers and amps but I like the sound anyways.

Never compared the Remastered CD to the normal CD, the other copy I have is the original on VInyl. It does come with a very good book that tells you the story of the album.

    Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" is back on repeat in my CD50 (after quite an absense) - brought on by the track (4) "Which Will" being used in the current BT advert on UK TV.

I'd almost forgot just how very (very) good an album it is!

That's twice you have spelled  'absence' incorrectly!
Perhaps you think it is actually spelled with an 's'!

    Poor me, never win owt!

Emmylou Harris - Wrecking Ball. I've had the album for 14 years now, but this is the first time I've heard them with my Lab 3's. Brilliant.

The Dohl Foundation - on my who's on at this years Shrewsbury Folk Festival Playlist, via spotify, through Avant/Lab6000/Lab4000 system, in speaker 5 mode (! )

    Whilst ironing.

Surprisingly good for streamed content - given the 10m interconnect from PC to Avant was about £2 !!  Must order one from Steve @ Sounds Heavenly one day soon.
