Is it possible to change the operating voltage of a Beoport? Mine is 240 volt but can it be changed to operate on 100 volts? Or were there two different versions produced?
Craig
For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen..
Craig,
There are about seven different versions of Beoport
Type 1670 is for EU except UK & Ireland
Type 1672 is for UK
Type 1673 is a 110 volt version for North America
Regards Keith....
Thanks Keith.
mor:I am using the UK version in Germany with no problem, by the way (but that doesnt say you should try with an EU version in the US :-)
Different voltages though, so I cannot see that it would work.

Actually Craig, a UK version will work in Europe because the only difference is the power plug, they are the same voltage.
However you cannot use a UK or EU version in North America unless you connect it via a stepup transformer.

Yes, I meant a U.K. version will not work on 110 volts. As you say the only difference between the EU and UK versions will be the mains lead.
