Tuning BM 7000 with Beo 4

    Hi everyone.

I have a Bs7000 linked to my Avant.

I wanted to tune a radio station in today but couldn't work out how to do it with a mk 3 Beo 4.

I have a BL 7000 but the battries were flat and after charging the dreaded "no contact" appears.

I really cant be bothered removing all the components and adding them again to get it working ( not really sure how to anyway).

So, can anyone tell me how to tune the radio with the Beo 4?

Thanks in anticipation for any help.

    Fil

This will not be the answer you eventually look for - but how about operation that while the BL7000 stays on the charger?

    Hi Fil.
You have to 'trick' the Beo4 into thinking it's tuning the Avant!

Look at THIS THREAD to find out how.

    What a Kerfuffle!

    BUT,it worked!!.........thanks Andy , you're a genius!

While you're there............any threads to the removing/replacing of the components on the BL7000 as it's saying no contact at the mo , although i understand that it's only one way at the mo as it's linked to my Avant.

    Thanks again

Fil, it should still work Two-way with your 7000 system.
To remove the components, press 'Mask' until you see panel
Press 'panel' then 'set up' then 'system' then 'components' then 'audio.

You should then see the list of components on the top row. (Radio, A Tape CD etc)
Touch each one on the bottom row until they disappear from the top row then touch 'Store' (Don't forget to press other in case thwere are more on the next page.)

Add them again by putting them on the top row again and press 'Store'
Make sure you are in range of the Beomaster when you press store.

Do you have Passives connected to your Beomaster 7000 and Beolabs connected to your Avant, as I do?
