Hi Andy Thats exactly what I did, but when I added the 2 grammes afterwards, the stylus still does not touch the record!! I'm presuming the 2 must be where the small indicator line comes out of the arm. Thanks Ben

Jandyt: Sorry for calling you Jeff, Ben
Not a problem Andy!! lol!! The arm works like it should but the counter-weight pulls the stylus up. If I set the weight when its on 2 then I can get it to work fine, but it seems to be a bit distorted. Also is the arm supposed to be able to move around ie. left to right in the round circle it goes through where the stylus adjuster is located?

no I mean where the adjuster for the stylus is, the tone arm is loose can move left and right on the small stylus adjuster rod. Its just in front of the counter-weight. So the arm isn't always in the middle of the rod or the circle that surrounds it. I hope I'm making some sense!!

I think I have a user manual for the 1200, got it after sending B&O an email and asking for it! Don't forget to set the speed adjuster to 0 (the dial on the left) when you're not using it for a while; eases the tension on the belt I think. Pete.
