I suspect I know the answer to this already, but I'll ask anyway.

Someone is selling the small bracket part (which attaches to the wall) of the system used to horizontally mount a 9000. They are not selling the larger backing plate which attaches to the 9000 however. I have my 9000 on a floor stand. Is it possible to use the backing plate from this with the small bracket I referred to? Or are the backing plates different for each of the (vertical and horizontal) mounting systems?

I am pretty sure they are different. The wall part has too "claws" that need to be inserted into the backplate and I doubt the stand version has those. I have the vertical wall mount and there are no inserts for the claws from the horizontal mount.

 

You can get the individual pieces as spare parts though. 

agreed, i believe all of the mounts are unique relative to their axis orientation...

2054 - horizontal wall bracket, 2063 - vertical wall bracket. These brackets are different, both big plate mounted on the rear panel of hifi and smaller flat hook - mounted onto the wall.

Floor stand has different back-plate

All the brackets come with thier own mounting plates for the BS9000 and wall so if buying used, make sure there are two parts.
