    Bang to Computer

I own a Bang and Olufsen Beosound 2300.

I want to hook my computer up to the system so I can use it to play my iTunes.

That is the best (i.e. cost effective) way to accomplish this? The computer will be in a separate room from the Beosound. Can I hook them up via some sort of cable that will connect directly into my computer. Or will I need to purchase a receiver. I would like to avoid the receiver optoin as they seem to be $500+ for good quality.

    Thanks!

An Airport Express is a natural choice.

Works and osunds very well and is reasonable priced. You need a wireless card though in your computer. If you don't have an existing wireless setup it will be very easy to setup.

it will connect through a cable to the BS2300. I have used that for a long time. for the cable, ebay is a good choice, search for olufsen and ipod cable or B&O and ipod cable and you should find some.

I have two airport expresses plugged in behind two separate stereos.  I can log into any machine (on the wireless network) open itunes, and select to send music to one or both of the systems.  It is simple and sounds great.

    Good Luck!

I use one of these http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=254455&sourceid=2459&CAWELAID=128469313

It is reasonable quality, easy to set up, looks nice and has the added benifit of being able to mavigate your music/playlists etc via the remote and works with WMP and Itunes.

    Cheers Graeme

    Re: Bang to Computer

I use a couple of cables which have been hidden in the wall. This way I can use the computer as source or the satellite. Cost £5.
    Kind Regards Toby
I better do my bit and suspend my siggy.
