    Beolink 7000 working/not working

My Beolink 7000 (type 1540) indicated ''no contact''. Removing and adding components did not work. I went through the forums and read about the capacitor problem. I changed the two next to the IR eyes with 22/16V types as indicated on the forum and it worked fine. Very happy. For three hours. I now have changed the other 3 as well. Still no 2 way, only 1 way and again "no contact". Any ideas what it could be?

Have you cleaned the board? There ist still a lot of acid on the board... clean it with water and paint thinner, twice ;)

    Hello Die Bogener,

I have cleaned the board, but I'll try it again. Your instructions and photo on the capacitor replacement where very usefull! Thank you for posting that information! I have used two SMD capacitors 22/16V to replace the vertical ones next to the IR eyes. I have used pinned capacitors on the other three. For some reason the one-way now only works when I keep the Beolink 7000 very very close to the IR eye of my Beosystem 7000 and Beosystem 4500.

Guess what, it's working perfectly! I left it alone for two hours and tried it again. Hopefully the second cleaning of the board did it. I'll try it again tomorow in full daylight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Still works! Maximum distance about 2,5 to 3 meters in bright daylight. Is that okay?

    Re: Beolink 7000 working/not working

    Yes, me....

I have repaired a lot of these BL7000, usually exchanging the caps and cleaning the board and then everything is ok. But some of these BL7000 have something else i still dont know.

I have also replaced additionally the battery and the lithium cell. It worked some days, then it stopped again. Some weeks later it began to work as if nothing ever happened, 100% perfect, for some weeks... then it stopped again... and so on Devil

I have 4 of these BL7000, 3 are repaired, 2 of these work now for some years perfect, absolutely no problem... but number 3 makes trouble all the time. I think, there is still some acid under a chip that makes a shortcut of a signal.

B&O has never released any service manual, showing the details of the BL7000. Just how to exchange the boards and the disassembly. Angry
