    Beomaster 3000 PROBLEMS HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Hi there, with just 24 hrs till my father comes over for the "Yesteryear evening" that I  have been planning for so long... I find that today its all gone a bit "limp" on me....

    Here are the Symptoms:-

    Place 33/45 on turntable

    press play

Needle & other arm come across

Needle goes down before the begining of the Album

Then proceeds to gently limp across the vinyl untill the inner circle

    Then lifts & Returns.

Checked that there are NO scratches on 'Old Frank' ( Sinatra that is)...

    Now sweatin it!!

    HELP !!!!!!

Could you please verify exactly what equipment you have? Is it a Beomaster 3000 tuner/amp with a sperate turntable? If so I need to know the model of turntable - it will be printed on the front somewhere and will be a Beogram XXXX.

    Chris.

Re: Beomaster 3000 PROBLEMS HELP PLEASE!!!!!

My Beogram 5005 did exactly this on my Beosystem 5000.

It seems to be that if the Beocord was plugged into the master, but not into the mains, then the gram would drag itself over the LP, then return to rest.

Luckilly this was before I bought a cartridge without knackered suspension.

So its worth checking all other datalinked equipment has a mains supply!
