Hi there

 A short while ago I posted an inquiry asking about setting up my bs3000 (small clamper) with beoport so i can play my computers music in my living room. I was advised that as mine is the small clamper version, it might or might not require a software upgrade to accept beoport - is there any way to tell if mine would require this? perhaps if i supplied the serial number?

 Also, if anyone knows what is involved in the software upgrade / costs etc? and is beoport wireless or does it use the masterlink socket?

I'm not sure I could give you the software version by the SN alone, but the software upgrades are generally not expensive. As for the BeoPort, that's the bigger impediment. At this point it is not wireless and requires an ML run from computer to main system. It is brilliant when this is possible, but it is an understandable pain in the ass when it doesn't. 

Press N MUSIC or SHIFT A TAPE on your remote. If N MUSIC comes up on the BS3000 display then you have the software.

Some times the simplest answer is staring you in the face!

I agree Andy.. We all often look for the complex answer, when a simple one exists. Graham came up with the simple answer.
