    DIN plug wiring for 4000

    Hi

I want to get a new DIN to phono lead made for my Beogram 4000 to go with some interconnects for the rest of my system - quick question - how are the pins in the DIN plug wired up?

    Cheers

    Pin 3 = Left

    Pin 5 = Right

    Pin 2 = Ground

Remember that you also need an earth from the casing of the DIN plug as this grounds the chassis. Without it you will get hum.

    Thank you Sir!

I presume that the Ground pin is different to the earth from the DIN plug casing? Which is the one that actually goes into the amp alongside the  phono plugs?

    Cheers

The Pin 2 ground is the ground for the left and right channels and will be in the RCA plugs. The earth from the casing of the DIN plug goes to the earth plug on the amplifier.
