Re: New intelligent lightdimmer for B&O remotes

Can you program them with a BEO5 (manual only mentions BEO4) ?

    Do they deliver across Europe?

No, sorry. It works with Z-wave and not with Nexa which uses a different frequency than Nexa and equivalent.

     Hi

No, the reception is not as good as LC2 but good enough. (It's not as bad as the Dynalight.)

    Hi Ola

Do you know if it the dimmers "speak" together using zwave. Say i have one dimmer in my livingroom and one in my bedroom. Is it possible to turn on the light in the bedroom from the livingroom aiming your remote at the dimmer installed in your livingroom and then letting it transfer commands (zwave) to the bedroom? Could be possible as you can name the dimmers from 1 to 9.

That would IMO be so very cool.

A new and even nicer dimmer is now available:

    http://www.lintronic.dk/AluDim.htm

The spec's are also very good - it can dim all loads, and it also includes "light scenes".

Re: New intelligent lightdimmer for B&O remotes

My query about both of these solutions is that of the wall switch.  I realise for my ceiling light, I could bypass the wall switch and control it only with the Beo4.  The device woul dbe mounted on the ceiling - so the touch switch would be useless, unless I had a ladder!

Ideally, I would like to retain the option of turning the light on/off/dim from the wall.  How else would you find a Beo4 in the dark?!

I can see a possibility of using a Z-Wave wall switch with the RAOne.  Does anyone have any other ideas?

You can mount the AluDim near the wall switch and control (dim and switch) your ceiling light via the black button  of the AluDim.

Re: New intelligent lightdimmer for B&O remotes

Does anyone has experience with this product:

    http://cms.jbmedia.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=95&Itemid=74

You can order it in a B&O version with plasma protected receiver. I'm willing to order one but I'm a little afraid it won't have the same IR reception as a LC2.

This makes it even more interesting for me, since you can make your existing light switches B&O ready.
