Beolink 5000 two way fault?

Hi, I just picked up a Nice beolink 5000 but after setting it up, doesn't seem to work in two-way mode with Beomaster 5500, which I'm sure it should. Just says 'No Contact' and I don't know if this is because the receiving side of the BL5000 is not working. The Beomaster is working fine two way with Master Control Panel. Was the Beolink 5000 compatable with the BM5500?

The BL5000 is not suitable for two way use with BM5500 as far as I recall.

It may work in 1 way mode like a BL1000 provided that the 5500 has Beolink enabled software.

Grahams right - it isn't compatible with the BM5500 in either 1 or 2 way mode. Sad

It does work OK in one-way mode with BM5500, for the record. I don't have any other two way kit to truly test but wanted to be sure the BL5000 was not faulty before I get rid of it agian, if no use to me as it stands. Ta.

I was really going by past experience as my BM5500 didn't work with my BL5000 in either mode. Looks like Graham is correct in his beolink comment.
