OK some of you guys talk about buying speakers like it is no big deal. I think the general age of this forum is, well a wee bit older than I (24). I am considering some B&O speakers (I have beolab 4s PC and a beosound 1), I have always loved the beolab 6000 ever since they were released. I can remember going with my Dad to a store somewhere to try them out.
I have my heart set on them. A new pair in Japan is 400,000 yen (1,900 UK), which is quite a lot considering that I am teacher and my salary is good but not B&O good. I have the cash, just about to pay for them. My friends have suggested selling the BS1 to help pay for them, but I love this stereo always have and always will, I can't sell! Is anyone else attached to their stereo as I am. It will be my bedroom stereo.
Now to the bones, a new pair is 400,000¥ (1.7 months wages) or 200,000¥ second hand (reasonable pair). If I get a second hand pair, will I be gutted I didn't pay the extra or will I be gutted that I did?
If it was a generic brand like sony I wouldn't be asking this question but the cost and the fact that B&O are built to last. Basically, what are you opinions on buying new or old? Obviously, new I get the warranty. Its not a question of if I buy anymore, its where from and when.
