Is it OK to clean lens myself or is it best to let dealer do it - can  anyone recommend  cleaning kit.

I see no reason you cannot do it. I use a cotton bud and some isopropyl alcohol on CD players. You don't need to do it very often!

Hello,

You do not have to do it if works fine. But, if your DVD/CD player has a problem, I'm affraid lens has to be changed.

Basically, if works ok, I mean - no stops or frozen picture, etc, just enjoy,  DO NOT TOUCH !

I am having some problems at some points while watching dvd it freezes and jumps to next chapter, do you think this means new lens, what is cost of lens replacement.

If your DVD1 has a problem then you can do no more harm by cleaning the lens. Simply remove the top of the case and the lens is obvious.
