Re: They forced me to swap my BEO 4 cinema for a Beo 5 - Did they trick me?
Hi, I would'nt trade the Beo4 Cinema for anything in the world. The Beo4 Cinema was only made in a 500 piece production, to fill the gap until the Beo5 was in production, so this will with no doubt be a collecters item. - K

Its not that difficult, all you need is a small PH-Scruwdriver and a small wrench. Remove the battericover and the batteries, and just start scruing. I´ve heard that a dealer in Jutland has about 10-15 Beo 4 Cinema left...

Oh I didn't realise there were screw underneath the battery cover. Hmm I think a Beo4 will be my next paint job! What kind of paint did you use Anders?

Henry, the fourth screw is under the sticker. DON'T stick the screwdriver through the sticker, it looks awful! (Like an un-ironed shirt ) If you cut a quarter inch strip off an old credit card, keeping a curvy bit, you can gently tease back the sticker and keep it intact. That way, it will stick back when you have finnished. Andy T.

Just some advice guys if you're thinking of painting it. Use very very light coats, and just keep applying them. You can always put another coat on, but if you apply too much in one coat you'll see unevenness or even running. Also, you'll probably want to do a very light sanding (maybe 1000 grit sandpaper) before the first coat to help the paint adhere and prevent it from flaking off later on. Austin

Thanks for the tip Andy. I guess you've been undressing your Beo4s quite a bit then.

Be very carefull if you take your Beo4 apart... The EL-backlights are very fragile, especially the one at the display. The printed wires must not be bend more than a couple of times before it might fail... Just a warning guys.. - K
