    Effects of recessing BeoLab 7

I just wondered whether anyone had any experience of recessing a BeoLab 7.1/2/6?

I know it has the downward firing subwoofers but the plan is to recess into a wall which has been built in and then we cut holes for the subwoofers so they fire the bass into the mdf boxing.

I know it is not the ideal solution for acousitcs but it should look awesome so I just wondered if anyone could share any experiences??

    Cheers

I know someone who has a 7-40 and 7.2 flush mounted (it's actually on a pull and rotate STB bracket for service access in specially created cut out in a wall - There is no acoustic trickery, the ports just fire straight down onto the flat surface...

Looks great, sounds super. I think the bass is slightly enhanced by this actually.

There is approx 10mm clearance around the edges of the speaker!

    Hope this helps.
