    Picture of beomaster 4400 system (Peter)

    Hi Peter

    I remember you once postede a picture of your beomaster 4400 in a system. Could you post that again?

    Not sure which one you mean? I did use the 4400 with a BG4000, Becord 5000 and CDX but not sure if I took a picture of it. Did you mean the 4401?

    Hi Peter

     

    It was infact the 4401 i remembered. I will use it as inspiration for finding one for my self. Especially wich furniture to use. Thanks for your help....

    I am afraid it may be a difficult task - the 4401 is very rare - I have never found one - a friend found mine for me and I know of just one other.

    Peter,

    Looking at the photograph of the 4400, it looks as if it is resting on doughnut rings!  What are they and were they to minimise hum in some way?

    They are cushioned rubber cylinders - As you know, the transformer on that 4400 has a slight hum and this was amplified by the wooden surface. The cylinders reduced it. Four half squash balls do much the same!

    Thanks Peter, now I have a use for all those small rubber things I have hanging around since I gave up squash for the old man's version of the game - racquetball!

    Agree - gave up squash about 20 years ago! I play tennis instead!
