Is there a posibility using a BV8 with a beamer. Or what would be a good way to do that...

    regards Bastian

There is no proper beamer out available on the BV8-40, but you can still use a beamer. How to connect it depends on what sources you would like to view on your beamer. I also purchased the BV8-40 and have a beamer. I did not completely finish the setup yet, but this is how I will connect it:

    - DVD/Blue-ray: HDMI to BV8, Component to Beamer

    - Digital cable receiver: HDMI to BV8, Component to Beamer

This way you can watch both sources on your beamer and mute your picture. I had a similar setup with an avant and that worked fine. I use a lintronic to control the beamer.

Personnaly, I think of this setup with a HDMI 4x2 switch (4 inputs, 2 outputs : one for the BV8, the second for the beamer).

This way you're able to connect 4 HDMI peripherals to your BV8 AND your beamer.

If you have just one source powered at a time, the switch should select the source automatically. Otherwise, you have to use the remote of the switch, or a Beo5 with the switch code, or a Lintronic/IRtrans.

    Re: BV8-40 and Beamer?

If your device is controlled by the STB and IF YOU SWITCH ON ONE DEVICE AT A TIME (I'm not screaming, that's just because it's the important point), the use should be seamless. I can not be totally affirmative as I don't own a BV8 yet, but normally there shouldn't be any issue. 4X2 HDMI switches can be bought for 100€, so you should give a tryWink

what do you mean by STB ?

I'm not wowning a b&o TV yet I'm just thinking of buying one. I wanted to precheck if it would work the way I want it to work.

    thanks

So we are in the same step... I will not buy before fall, and I hope that the BV10 will be interesting (and available before christmas Whistle)
