    MX4000 problems

    The problem is that the picture tube seems to produce a electrical/buzzing sound. It is not to loud, but my old MX3500 did not have the problem.

    Is this problem easy to fix?

    Yes. Remove the rear cover, switch off all lights, start your MX and look at the mainboard from underneath. You will probably see a light called C102 ;)

    Thanks for the reply. I am not very technical can you tell me exactly wat C102 is and wat needs to be done?

    I really ment a spark next to the cap C102. You can see and hear it in the dark, that is no joke!

    Sounds like Bzzzbbbzzbbzzzzz are bad solders around the high frequency of the transformer or the big blue plastic caps. It really makes sense to watch these parts in the dark. These sparks are visible.
