Hi Sreve.  I have no experience with the V+ box, but with my Sky+ box many of the functions need to be preceded with 'Go'.
For example, to record, you press 'Go' 'Red'. rapidly.

    Re: beo4 virgin +

I have an Avant with STB-C and a Virgin V+ box.

I just can't seen to get the STB-C to do its job!

Can anyone please walk me through how I should have the two linked

Maybe I have the Virgin box plugged into the wrong SCART socket or something!

    Please help!!

Have you taped the IR cable to your Virgin+ box?

No offence but the V+ boxes are not very good. The STB-C commands don't make sense either! From what I can work out, go is pause/resume, go 1 is menu and it automatically switches to the channel you want when browing the pop up channel menu.

Getting them to output a HD signal is near on impossible too!

    Re: beo4 virgin +

    My setup is as follows:

I've plugged the Virgin box into the middle SCART socket on the Avant. When I switch on the V+ (using its own remote) it switches the Avant on too (in DVD mode).

The IR blaster is plugged into the back of the Avant and the other end stuck onto the V+

Next I went into the Setup menu of the Avant, went to Sources then DVD. I selected 'Set-top box' and when the menu of available STB's came up I selected 'Pace DSR600'

The Beo4 has no control over the V+ so I repeated the process but selected 'Pace DTR730-IM'

    Again no control whatsoever

    Where am I going wrong?

B&O have a puc table specifically for the V+, but I think you can use Pace 4000/4001 if you have it.

If not you will need to get an STB upgrade from your nearest dealer I'm afraid!
