    MX - 6000 PROBLEMS

We have a MX 6000 that been in storage for a few years. Powered it up today and connected to dvd player - no problem playedback fine - great picture and really good sound. Our problem is that when connecting to our Dgitial Cable Box it doesnt recognise it and thus tune in the channels. Any ideas ?

How are you trying to connect the cable Box? By Scart or RF connection/

Have you assigned the Scart connections in the Menu? For example Scart 1 as DVD and Scart 2 as SAT

    Re: MX - 6000 PROBLEMS

thanks for your help - we've been away and went back at it again to-day.

we have av2 set to decoder and av1 set to vhs1 i think - the dvd is actually a sony dvd/vcr combo.

also the volume control isnt coming up on screen any more and mute doesnt work  - could the remote be faulty. the very first thing we did was put new batteries in.

    Re: MX - 6000 PROBLEMS

Assign tv programme #1 as decoder needed, then turn to programme #1, should go to the cable box then.

Be sure to use a fully wired scart lead!

    Re: MX - 6000 PROBLEMS

And if you delete all tv channels except for #1, pressing tv will always go to channel 1 thus using the cable box.

trying to recall this from memory...

go to the channel you want to delete, go to the second tuning menu, move cursor to STORE, change to DELETE using the down arrow, and GO.
