    MX4000 link question

I have an MX4000 that replaced my MX3500. On the MX3500 when I pressed CDV on my beolink 5000 it switched to a certain frequency that switched to my DVD1 which is located in my main room. I have set the 5000 to one-way for video and audio, but when I press CDV it shows CDV on the screen but no picture (just a snowy landscape Smile). When I manually search for station I can find the DVD picture. Under which channel do I need to store it? The PGG was no help (see below, no frequency for CDV/DVD and channel)

    *************************** LINK SYSTEM SETUP *************************

    Master Control Link
    X-tra TV

    Beovision MX 4000 IT

    Connection

Connect the MCL cable to the SPEAKERS 2 sockets on the audio
    master in the central room.
If an MCL cable is already connected, connect the new cable in
    parallel.

The aerial signal is distributed to the TV in the Link room from
the LINK output terminal on the BeoVision in the Central room.

Connect the AUDIO AUX LINK socket of the TV-set to the AUX socket of
the MCL 2AV using a 7/7-pin DIN cable.

Connect the mains adaptor to the DC 15V input of the MCL 2AV.

Setting of option on the LINK TV-set

    BeoVision:
      OPTION 2, with Beo4

             Press:                          | Display:
            --------------------------------------------
STANDBY + LIST at the same time | OPTION?
             GO                              | V.OPT
             2                               | Observe confirmation
                                             | from the BeoVision

    Note!

The modulator in the main room VTR cannot be used for
    HF distribution.

After installation or a mains dropout the BeoLink Converter in the
main room must be configurated to MCL by selecting an Audio source
    from a MCL local room.

The following frequencies is programmed from factory.

    V.TAPE 1     P.nr. 60  599 MHz
    SATELLITE
    LINK TV
    CDV

    V.TAPE 2     P.nr. 61  567 MHz

It is not possible to switch on the source last listened to by
pressing MUTE on a remote control.

The MCL 2AV must be equipped with software (S/W) 2.1 or higher,
    part no. 8341172.

No audio or video recording in the central room can be initiated from
    the local room.

Stereo sound in the local room from the VTR in the central room can
    obtained in two ways:
    - Press: V.TAPE  AV V.TAPE.
V.TAPE switches on the VTR in the central room,
and reproduces picture and mono sound in the local room.
AV V.TAPE reproduces a stereo sound in the local room.
    - Select option 5 instead of option 6 (hardware option) by mounting
the jumper J1 in the MCL 2AV's microprocessor shield.
Stereo sound is automatically obtained when the VTR is switched on
      (press V.TAPE).
The stereo sound is distributed by the audiomaster in the central
room. This means that the audiomaster cannot be used for other
purposes, e.g. playing radio in the central room or in another local
room while the stereo sound is being distributed.

********************* REMOTE CONTROL FOR LINK ROOM ********************

The recommended remote control is Beo4

    Setup for Beo4 remote controle:

Beo4's "LIST" must contain the following items to be able
to operate the products from the Link Room.

    CLOCK
    LARGE REVEAL INDEX UDDATE MIX
    LINK
CDV     (only with S/W lower than 4.0 in Beo4)
    V.SETUP (only with S/W 2.0 or higher in Beo4)
AV      (only with S/W 4.0 or higher in Beo4)

See Beo4's operation manual page 10/12 on REMOVE and ADD functions
    from/to the List

    Re: MX4000 link question

Store your link frequency for SAT, DVD, LINK TV, V.TAPE under channel 60,  62, 63, 64. V.TAPE2 under channel 61. This should work.
If you have an MX 4000-AV socket assigned as CDV, this socket will be opened by pressing CDV. In that case you should press LINK-CDV to control yout DVD1.
    Hope this helps.
