That's why I link to the FORUM. In the WorkBench forum the full thread will be accessible.

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [1/9/2008 1:43:00 PMCET]

    [#3449] Answer to post #3447

Sometimes we need to test different setups before having ananswer. This is the Customer Service Department and we have a number of peoplebehind us to assist. However, I recommend that you write an e-mail with yourquestion from earlier.

Coolskin, Netherlands [1/9/2008 1:41:00 PM CET]

[#3448] The chat sessions are present for some time now. Can yougive a hint on what B&O does with the chat responces?

Coolskin, Netherlands [1/9/2008 1:37:00 PM CET]

[#3447] I'm just currious. Where do you gather your information tobe able to give a chat response? Do you work on a particular department andhave a aquired good knowledge of all B&O items?

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [1/9/2008 1:33:00 PMCET]

    [#3446] Answer to post #3442

No, our strategy has not changed. It is different how we revealfrom one future product to the other.

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [1/9/2008 1:31:00 PMCET]

    [#3445] Answer to post #3440

We are currently looking at this and we do not have an answerready now. Will you please write your question in an e-mail?

    [#3444] Thanks,

    [#3443] Answer to post #3441

You cannot change the display frequency in Beovision LX 5500 from50 Hz to 60 Hz

Coolskin, Netherlands [1/9/2008 1:27:00 PM CET]

[#3442] In "Star of the Day" contest video #5 I saw aglimpse of the new "Beosound 5(?)". As I know from the past B&Orefuses to give information on new items soon to be released. The latestmailing from B&O gives away a hint on the upcoming new audio system.Question: Is your strategy changed in favour of the customers who want to knowwhat's comming next?

Menard, France [1/9/2008 1:25:00 PM CET]

[#3441] Hello, I have a LX 5500 tv set and would like to know if Ican set the display frequency on 60 hz and not 50hz as it is now. can I do thatand how ?

Coolskin, Netherlands [1/9/2008 1:21:00 PM CET]

[#3440] There are two types of BL2000. Q1: First button on theleft = TV or A.Tape. Is it possible to listen to DTV(sound) on a BL2000 withthe A.Tape button, by pressing DTV on the BEO4 remote? Q2: Can I listen toA.MEM on a BL2000 with TV button?

Coolskin, Netherlands [1/9/2008 1:16:00 PM CET]

[#3439] No question, just a remark I have a mac mini, iTunes,Apple Airport Express and a Beosound 1, and some items connected via ML. TheiTunes on the Mac Mini is setup so it can play music through AAE. So far sogood. So music on the Mac Mini is played seemlessly on the Beosound 1 if Iwant. Now comes the good part. In the bedroom next to the bedroom where theBeosound 1 is located I can activate N.Music and/or N.Radio on the MX4002. Inthis way I can activate via A.MEM on the remote N.Radio on both devices. Andwith little disconfort I'm now able to listen to N.Radio on the Beosound 1 andcan control it via the MX4002. Hope this does make any sence. Better option isto get a Beolink Wireless though.

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [1/9/2008 1:13:00 PMCET]

[#3438] BeoLab 2000 is designed for link setups. It ought tofunction if your BeoLink Wireless has software 2.1 or higher.

Coolskin, Netherlands [1/9/2008 1:07:00 PM CET]

[#3437] Hi, I use several items in a LINK setup. I very happy withthis setup. I would like to add a BL2000 speaker system to it, via BeolinkWireless. Is this possible?

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [1/9/2008 1:00:00 PMCET]

[#3436] The chatroom is now open.

Winston, United Kingdom [1/2/2008 1:53:00 PM CET]

[#3433] one more question re earset 1 mobile - what is the size ofthe plug? is it 2.5mm?

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [1/2/2008 1:32:00 PMCET]

Winston, United Kingdom [1/2/2008 1:25:00 PM CET]

[#3428] which are the closest model numbers of the adapters to thesony ericcsson w880i?

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [1/2/2008 1:23:00 PMCET]

    [#3427] Answer to post #3426

We do not have an adaptor for use with EarSet 1 Mobile and SonyEricsson W880i. We have adapters for a number of other Ericsson mobile phones, and maybe one of those can be used. Even if we do not have the requiredadapter, this does not mean it does not exist, so maybe a dealer of mobilephones and accessories can help with an adapter.

Winston, United Kingdom [1/2/2008 1:20:00 PM CET]

[#3426] Hi, I have a earset 1 mobile and am thinking of getting asony ericsson w880i mobile phone. Is there an adapter for connecting the two?

[#3404] All B&O tube televisions are now history. Even the MX4002, the last one standing is now also not available anymore. But at the speaker series several speakers are still available, like the Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000. How come?

[#3399] I like the star of the day contest. Especially the one of today. Unlike B&O did in the past. Now B&O gives away a glimps of what the new (beosound 5) audio system will look like that is around the corner, 2008.

[#3394] There is just one thing I was not able to sort out about my SerenataIf I receive an sms when listening to music using the pop-up speakers, the phone vibrates. If it is on its stand, it actually moves away from its position. Is there any way to avoid this?

I am afraid we cannot through the chat room give you the exact information on installation of BM Link. I must ask you to write an e-mail to us, and we shall try to help you through there. BM Link is supported by an external person, i.e. not within Bang & Olufsen.

Dyrck Pisani, Malta [11/28/2007 1:08:00 PM CET]
[#3380] Dear Sir, I am having difficulty installing the software onto a mac using Leopard OX. The beoport was previously operating with windows software. On completion of the installation of BM Link, the system preference page opens, and through the advanced tab I choose to update firmware which opens the applications page, though with the regular icons greyed out. There is no icon for BM Link here yet there is one in system preferences though this works as above. The process appears to stop here. The speakers are powered on once the system preference page is opened, and they reproduce computer warning sounds. Can you advise please? Kind regards Dyrck

[#3372] I now have software version 6.8 in my (first generation) BV7-32. Can you tell what is the latest version for this television. I do have some problems with the DVD player. It should resume, but when it does, it returns to the actual scene. So we watch the same scene twice. This should have been resolved with SW6.8.

[#3361] I can add to #3359. Be specific. This helps the technicians a lot. And you avoid endless email conversations. Situation, setup, options, location, connected non-B&O item etc. etc...

[#3358] Beoworld is not part of B&O. It's an independant organisation for B&O enthousiasts. I can recommend it. I am a user for at least 5 years now. My forum name is the same as it is here.

[#3356] just another question: could I know what the frequency response is in the speakers of Serenata mobile phone? The Italian catalogue says 50-20.000 but it seems incredible to me..

[#3352] I could have gone the easy way, the B&O-way. But I have gone the hard way. I have connected to my BV7-32 and BS3200 the following hardware Beoport, Mac Mini + Apple Airport EXTREME + Iomega 750gb harddrive. Software iTunes, DVDPedia. At the moment I can listen to N.Music and N.Radio, and watch DVD movies that are stored on the computer. For details please take a look at /\/\ http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/55292.aspx /\/\ I like the setup, but must improve the human interface.

[#3350] Not sure if this message arrived.. Hi, i have recently purchased a DVD 2 machine (Winchester United Kingdom branch), 3 weeks ago. In that time i have had three different engineers unable to set this machine up to a satisfactory standard. It would appear that no one in the UK, including B+O head office in the UK are able to resolve various problems for example, guide plus+ overnight reverts back to TV channels with a weaker frequency. Also screen buttons eg blue button in some cases does not clear the screen, but "exit" will. I have now asked for my supplying shop to refund my money, because it seems they have also given up on this machine. My family have purchased Bang and Olufsen for the last 40 years and this is the worst product i have ever used, unfriendly interface, not thought out well etc. Poor service and a total lack of interest by B+O UK.

[#3286] Hi, back again. Couldn't find the time to participate last couple of months. Simple question: I have my Mac Mini (non-Intel) hooked up to my BV7-32 (dec. 2004 model). It works great. Now I want to swap the headphone outlet cable for a digital cable. But I don't know how to fit this digital cable in the BV7. Do you?

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [10/24/2007 1:36:00 PMCET]
    [#3285] Answer to post #3284
Yes, you can operate the expander with your Beo4 remote control. The connection takes place via an external box (which has to be bought separately). Please contact your dealer for further help. (please also see my answer in #3282)

Thomas, Germany [10/24/2007 1:33:00 PM CET]
[#3284] Again for the DVI/HDMI extender: How does it work? Can I switch the extender from my remoute control? How will be the connection to my television?

    [#3283] Answer to post #3281
It is posssible to connect Beosystem 3 to your BeoVision 4. BeoSystem 1 and BeoSystem 3 are two completely different products, so it is not possible to compare. Please visit this link for further information and technical specifications: http://www.bang-olufsen.com/page.asp?id=135

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [10/24/2007 1:28:00 PMCET]
    [#3282] Answer to post #3279
It will work with Beo4. Your dealer will make the connection through a box (which has to be bought separately) and is controlled via the STB-C.

Roman, Germany [10/24/2007 1:26:00 PM CET]
[#3281] Ok. Actually I have the Beosystem 1 and the Beovision 4. Is it possible to change the System to Beosystem 3 ? Which settings are new by the beosystem 3 ?

Yes, BeoVision 7 supports SPDIF. No, the update is not free. Please contact an authorized dealer about prices, as we are unable to provide such information from here.

[#3267] Thank you - the Laptop supports SPDIF. Beovision 7 supports this too ? If i have a MKI or MKII is the update free ?

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [10/17/2007 1:51:00 PMCET]
    [#3266] Answer to post #3264
DVI-DVI is digital. If your computer supports SPDIF, you will get the best sound quality from this. It it does not support SPDIF, you need to use a regular analog cable.

Customer Service, Bang & Olufsen [10/17/2007 1:49:00 PMCET]
    [#3265] Answer to post #3262
The old models are called MKI and MKII. The latest is called MKIII. An authorised dealer should be able to give you further details about this.
