    Help - Faulty Beovision LE6000

    Hi,

Inherited this set from my father and enjoyed problem free use up until recently.  However, the display is cutting off the picture to the left and right of the screen, and it does not shut down properly when set to standby (amber instead of red light displayed).  The remote has also give up and we're using an all in one form the time being.

I wondered if anyone has contact details for a reliable repair specialist in the Ashford, Kent area?  Don't want to spend a packet, but would rather repair than trash it!

    Many Thanks

    Simon

Interesting set! It is actually almost a Philips, being made in a Philips factory and uses the Philips architecture. The prices of LX sets are now so cheap that despite the admirable desire not to see a B&O set go to the skip, this one may be worth swapping for a real B&O LX which would at the very least have better sound. Tim Jarman at Beocentral is an excellent technician and could fix it though he may well suggest much the same!

He lives in Farnborough - other side of London. Is contactable at Beocentral site - try the forum there and he will answer.
