  • Re: Strange behaviour Apple TV icon from download page

Keith Saunders: The battery would normally be replaced by your dealer or service centre, but if you decide to disconnect it yourself, then you can find instructions for doing it HERE You should also known, that if you keep the center button pressed for a looooong time (30-60 sec. depending on battery level) you will activate the hardware reset circuitry

  • Re: using Beo5 switches on TV in other room as well?

OKF: Hi @ all, ... Is the IR signal to strong? .... Thanks & regards Oliver Hi Oliver, The IR transmitter in the Beo5 is more powerful than the one in Beo4. Without knowing about your distances and line-of-sight issues in your home you might be experiencing that the IR reaches more TV's at the same time. Try to cover the IR receiver of the upstairs

  • Re: Caller I.D. - Beocom 4

TripEnglish: Software, old chap. Have your local dealer shove some more software into it. I've encountered this anomaly a few times and by essentially reinstalling its operating system (for lack of a better term) all should be set to right. Nope! It is not the Beocom 4 that needs a software update.. As Craig wrote he needs to pay his operator a

  • Re: Beo5: Possible to change hardware behaviour (e.g. red LED) etc.?

Hi, No - you have no way of controlling the red LED in the Beo5. It is controlled by the application itself. Since it is placed on the back part it makes only little sense to let it flash indicating a low battery level. Using the white backlight (which you cannot control either) will draw a lot of current which can cause a voltage drop restarting the

  • Re: News

To my knowledge the Beo5 can be operated while placed in the wall charger in the same way that it can be operated in the table charger. Operation in the charger is the reason for the design of the charger being able to support the back part of the alu ball during operation to prevent it from being pushed out of the charger. Does it light up? Yes - when

  • Re: Beo5: Charging doesn't seem to stop

TWG: I put the Beo 5 on its charger yesterday evening and checked it this noon and the display was still showing "charging". Is this normal behaviour? This is normal behaviour. "Charging" is a state information telling you that it is correctly placed in the charger rather than it is really charging. Likewise with the Beocom 6000

  • Re: Beo 5: Wake up on Ball or key touching doesn't always work

No - I don't have firmware 1.34a and of course that functionality might have changed. The best way of testing it is to make sure that your fingers covers as much as possible of the back part of the black plastic when grabbing the remote. That way you make a good coupling between the ground level of the remote and your hand. The reason that it works

  • Re: Beo 5: Wake up on Ball or key touching doesn't always work

The intension is that when you grab the remote from e.g. a table, then the Beo5 should light up. Keeping the remote in your hand should allow the remote to first dim and later on turn off the backlight. Then if you operate the lower part (fixed keys and wheel) the it operates without turning the backlight on, while operation or the touch keys obviously

  • Re: Beo5 - where are we?

Actually the Beo5 has four LEDs in the top part, but the last one is a standard red LED that some of you might have noticed turning on for a short time when powering up the Beo5. That of course makes a total of four LEDs, but it still only has three IR LEDs.

  • Re: Beo5 - where are we?

Jandyt: Somewhere, I have seen a skeleton view of Beo5 but I can't seem to find it. I'm sure I remember seeing that it had four IR LEDs. Only two seem to be in use at the moment! Read into that what you will. When we asked about two way and third party products in Struer, we were given a sheepish grin and no comment. The Beo5 has three IR LEDs
