• Re: BeoCom 6000 - Speaker problem

Dropping a 6000 usually results in the display showing funny stuff. This is because the connection between the display and the contact rubber is lost very briefly interferring witht the communication between the display and the main processor. When the display re-initialise (e.g. when pressing DOT 7 to enter the menu) the display returns to normal operation

  • Re: BeoCom 6000 phone (Australia)
We have done this but the phones still say 'no signal'
Once the LED on the base station flashes red (after keeping the small button between the charging pins pressed for a few seconds) you need to go into menu 7 of the handset (press DOT and then 7). Here you can re-register the handset. Alternatively

  • Re: Beocom 1401 problem

Hi Steve, Your setup with broadband and telephone using the same line is quite common in many places and should not be able to affect your Beocom 1401 when it comes to its storage. The numbers are stored in a non-volatile memory and should be kept regardless of the phone being connected to mains or not. No batteries - no nothing. If it looses its memory

  • Re: Beocom1

This indeed sounds very strange.. so just to understand you correct - When you press the hook key you get no dial tone? This raises a lot of questions in order to investigate your problem: 1. Was there any error messages in the display? 2. What if you (while you expect the dial tone) try using a different (corded) phone? 2a. Do you then get a dial tone

  • Re: A strange remote ... something remotely strange ?

As other members write this is a remote for hotels. There are a number of versions with different rubber mat and software (configuration) and it is an obvious mistake that you have received one of these. As far as I remember all the hotel versions has "volume" written between the vol_up and vol_down buttons as hotel guests often do not know

  • Re: Problem with Digits

Have you tried making a new configuration from scratch? It sounds as if something has gone wrong in your configuration. My recommendation is to find the folder where your configuration is and move it somewhere else (this also gives you a backup) and make a new configuration. Hopefully that would work. Br, Burnix

  • Re: Beo5 Display
My Beo5 will only activate back light when I touch the display screen, but will not light up when any of the hard buttons pressed, is this normal.
This is how it was designed. The backlight turns on when you grap it from e.g. a table or when you press the display (depending on the ambient light). The reason for

  • Re: rattling Beo5
So is it supposed to give a little "click" when you press a touch screen button (possibly designed this way to provide audible feedback), or is this what people are complaining about (one person's rattle could very well be my "little click").
As Andy writes it is indeed intended to give
