Well…that was a bad idea. Just started working on the BG again, finally got the matching paint and repainted the baseplate. Problem: Turns out if you travel the world for two months and come back you might not remember what goes where. And I didn't take pictures. Ha. Umm…Beaker? Or somebody else who owns a 42? Could you please take
Erm... how long are you staying?
Not long enough to fix that (nebraskan?) bison. By the way, is Finland a good place to buy B&O? I was thinking about getting some (read: a trunkful) valve sets to keep me occupied during the winter. Or should I just get 'em in Denmark?
Can you send me the picture - for some reason I can't get any of these imageshack pictures.
It's just a picture of the finished Beogram playing a LP, I didn't take any pictures of the interior. But I guess my description of the problem is graphic enough? Anyway, I placed a bid on it. If you guys promise not to outbid me, there'll be a restoration thread.
i sent you a pm
Who? Me? If so, I didn't get it.

I asked the seller if she knew what it was for. She says it rotates the ferrite antenna, so at least the circuit should be original. But I guess that's what one of the other knobs used to be for? So most likely the string snapped or the mechanism broke and the extra knob was added. Martin, do you know how this thing is supposed to work? I'm

Hey Ralf, wenn die Option Service gegen 4002 noch steht…mich gibt's auch noch, und ich traue mir das durchaus zu.

You're welcome...I almost placed a bid on it myself. But then I decided to take a closer look first.

What's the grey knob on the right side, though? Looking at other pictures (like this ), that doesn't belong there. So somebody most likely messed up the original circuit, connected an extra knob and drilled a hole in the front, thus ruining the speaker cloth...
